Hello;
I have a starting problem with a '87 Ford thunderbird turbo coupe 5 speed manual. The car will not start no matter what I do. I hear the fuel pump pressurize, the rotor and cap are new as is the the ignition coil. The engine cranks and cranks but wont ignite.I tried checking for a spark at the plugs and had no spark except for a little spark once I was turning the ignition switch off from the ctarting position. At the coil I tried to see if I would also get a spark and none was visible, what gives? 200 miles ago I had a rebuilt distributor put in by the mechanic with the TFI module as well. The car ran for a month, left it idling in front of the house so as to warm it up, went inside the house for two minutes, came out and the car was dead. Where should I be looking for that gremlin on that Ford?
Thank you; Tom

Check the fuel pressure as well.

Did they replace the coil?
