1986 Ford Thunderbird Diagnostics

I know that testing diagnostics for a 1996 or new vehicles is fairly easy with an off the shelf diagnostic tester. But what about cars of this vintage. Are there tester I could purchase and is there a port to plug into. Or is this a manual process?

Ok buddy here it goes, the self test connector is in front of the left shock tower. You need an analog VOM or a Star tester-see below and the hook up-Good Luck
