1985 T-Bird Stalls around corners

Have a 1985 T-Bird with 3.8L v-6 engine. Just got car recently, checked out ok when driven and tested, but on first short trip around a right hand (sharp) turn, the car simply sputtered and died. Started right back up (has approx 1/3 tank of gas, but no where near empty), then stalled again. Took a 2nd restart and revving engine to keep it from stalling. Had to drive 'two footed' rest of that short trip. No CEL, or any other odd noises or fluids leaking, no strange smells. Car runs normal temp. Only thing I noticed (not sure if just an old v6 Ford thing) is that when started it revvs high then drops down to approx 800 rpm (no tach). Any ideas where to start?

Remove the Idle air control motor clean it with throttle cleaner and reinstall it it sounds like its idling to low while driving at low speeds. You may want to have the upper intake cleaned all together;without actually removing the intake itself just the attachments throttle intake injectors etc.
