the fuse number thirteen with and ampage of 5 has gone out twice now in one day. I just recently put in a new deck stereo and this may or may not be affecting the fuse. This problem didn't happen until the next day after I put it in. All the instrument lights go out on the dash but the stereo stays on; I am not sure if the stereo is connected with this fuse. The fuse doesnt go out right away when im driving or right away when I turn the stereo on but it randomly choses to go out.

Does the stereo light go out too? Have you tried a bigger amp fuse?

I tried an amp of ten and that went out too not right away but it did go out. Then the new deck got stolen out of my car. I put in the stock radio again and I havent tried another fuse yet because when I turn the headlights on the clock light goes off on the stock radio and when I turn the headlights back off the clock light comes back on. Could this be a ground wire missing with the stock radio?

The radio has daylight/night light brightness controlled by the lightswitch maybe? Not sure. Does the fuse blow have anything to do with your lightswitch position? Could pop a used switch in to test? If you have the switch in the side of speedometer shroud then it just pop/pry/wiggles out.
