1994 Ford Tempo Automatic

Hello,
My name is Raymond, and I just recently purchased a '94 Ford Tempo. When I purchased it it was running fine, but now the shoulder belt on the driver side is not working. All it does is hum a WHOLE lot. I can not afford the migraines because I work a lot so i was wondering what the quickest way to fix this would be.

sounds like the plastic drive belt is stripped? but who knows what you mean by hum? it's a pretty complex system. you can unplug motor for that side(hum?) by taking apart door post plastic trim covers for access. or fix by getting a new drive belt assembly from scrap yard. try checking other ideas by doing a search of this tempo forum for "seatbelt". you may be able to turn off motor an easier way? like pull a relay? or fuse if you dont need either of them to work?
