1992 Ford Tempo Heater Core replacement

Heater Core is leaking under dash. Car has Air conditioning. Any tricks to doing this? Potential problems?

If the climates right you can postpone the job by disconnecting the heater water hoses on firewall behind engine and use a short piece of tubing to connect them together thus bypassing heater core.
