Engine Performance problem
1991 Ford Tempo Automatic

when you open the place where the oil goes it smokes. Also smoking from oil-stick when you remove it. Noticed this problem when value cover gasket was replaced. Can you help?

Sounds like your engine is worn out! What your experiencing is piston ring blow-by! Compression is leaking into crankcase and coming out anywhere there's an exit! Normally PCV valve has it covered but not when it becomes excessive! But if the car still runs fine then who cares? But since you said it didn't do it before gasket change as far as you remember, you might pull pcv valve and check it for function.
