1987 Ford Tempo it has no spark it spark plugs?

1987 Ford Tempo 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

Me and my buddies are working on a 1987 ford tempo, and we can get it to turn over, but not start. We have the right firing order, but there is no spark to the spark plugs. What could be the problem?

Is there juice at the coil? If you pull coil wire do you see spark at coil tip?If yes then stick a spare plug in other end of coil wire and try again. If coil and coil wire are good, then you got something wrong in/with distributor, module, rotor, cap, internal sensor. Grab a boneyard 1 and try. When was last time car ran? Has it sat for a long time? Has it been messed with before?
