I have a 97 Taurus with about 98,000 miles on it. About a week ago I had my battery replaced because my car was having a hard time starting. They even said I needed a new battery. So for about 4-5 days afterwards my car was starting right up and fine. Until the 6th day and it was having the exact same problems starting up like it did the week before. Now, it pretty much won't start. I know it's not the battery, so is it the alternator? What could be the preoblem?

Do you own a voltmeter? If you can get one, they are pretty cheap, hook it up to the battery, what's the reading? Now have someone crank it, what's the reading, lastly is the light on on the dash?
