I was driving home and the car just died. The engine will turn over but not fire. We have replaced the coil and still no spark. 1994 Taurus 3.8
We are possibly thinking voltage regulator, not sure where to find it.
any suggestions?

I think the regulator is integral to the alternator, but if the engine's cranking that isn't your problem. Do you have fuel pressure? Can you hear the fuel pump turn on? How about the dist cap and rotor? Still in good shape? Pull the cap and check the pieces, make sure nothing broke. Any check engine light? Get it scanned for any possible stored codes that may not have set the light on. Don't replace parts blindly

Check both fuse boxes. There is the one under the dash and one under the hood.
If all the fuses under the hood are OK, try swapping out some of the relays in the box under the hood to make sure that they are all OK.

Good Luck.
