I have a 92 ford taurus. Almost 200,000 miles.3.0. Have had the car in the shop three times [two different shops] they have replaced the fuel filter, and done a tune up. Still having the same problem. If we crank the car early in the morning. Around 6 am. It will run for a few min. Then start spitting and sputtering. Then dies. Let it sit for 30 min or so. The car will crank up and then run fine. Only have problems in the early morning. Or if it is raining. The two shops have no idea.I am a single mom of two. Cant afford to have the shops keep putting parts on that isnt going to fix the problem. Have been told it could be the maf. Iac. Coil. Or fuel pump. Any ideas? If so. Is any of this I can do myself? Thanks for your help :
