Car not starting

Ford Tauruas Station Wagon: 98 Model, 120K mileage.


Went to shenandoah national park. Driven nearly 110 miles. Didnt face any problem.I stopped many times in between to see the view point. After sometime I stopped the car and then when I tried to start, it didnt start at all.

Tried jumpstarted. No use. Lights and Radio works fine. Gas is full.

Its not at all starting. Recently in September, I did the state inspection.

Can you pl help. What would be the problem.

Are you getting spark and fuel. Check those two then let me know so we can continue further.

When I start the engine is not cranking. No engine sound will be there. Does it mean that no spark is happening?

Ok good that helps. I would turn on the headlights and try and crank it and see if the lights Dim. If they dim then power is getting to the starter and the starter relay is good and the starter is bad or could be stuck engaged. If they do not dim then you may have to check over the ignition relay and starter relay.
