2005 Ford Taurus Engine Size unknown Front Wheel Drive Automatic 60000 miles

When my wife tried starting her car, as she turned the key in the ignition, everything went dead. When you open the driver side door, you hear a "clicking" sound and there are intermittent lights from some of the "idiot" lights on the dashboard. Any ideas?

Sounds like a dead battery. You have just enough voltage to run the interior lights, only takes about 2-3 volts, but starting a car almost takes 11-12 try hooking up a jumper box or another vehicle and then try. Let me know how it goes. Good luck!
