2003 Ford Taurus slow shifting

It is suddenly taking forever for the car to shift, and I was wondering how to reset the computer?

Check tranny fluid
if you have check engine light on and or OD light blinking
should check for codes before resetting the PCM
disconnecting battery will reset the PCM
