2002 Ford Taurus runs good car wont Move

Hi. My car stoped moving I reved it up and put it drive then it stoped but the car shifts good but dont move in any gear but when u put it in drive and hit the gas the speedo moves and the rpm gauge n shifts at the right point range but it wont move

Hi there,

you may have snapped an out put shaft in the transmission, of the diff may have failed, you have drive too the speedo sensor so I feel that the problem is in the final drive.
