I performed a tune-up on the car, replacing fuel filter, plugs and wires. Still riding rough after tune-up. Mostly during acceleration. I went to one of those do it yourself car wash centers for a much needed soaking. After washing the entire car, I still had some time on the counter so I decided to lift the hood and spray down the engine compartment. Only sprayed it for a few seconds. Now it runs much worse and the check engine ( which has already been on ) is now flashing. Let it sit for a few hours once I got home then drove again. Seemed a little better, but still worse. I was thinking something with one of the injectors was wrong. But who knows, it never ran this bad even before the tune up. Also, I was wondering about the new plugs I used as they are not Ford brand. And the location of the PVC valve so I can replace that. THANKS!

I had the local auto parts stores do one of their free check engine scans. They said there was one code for "missfire, random cylinders". So First thing I thought was coil, thing is, the coil didn't perform so bad before tune up. Would new wires and plugs on the old coil cause this? Or, does the coil normally get replaced during a tune-up from a professional?

These coils are common to fail so when ever we do a tune up we recommend to have it replace
I would also recheck the wires make sure they are on and tight and in good condition

((what also is common to cause a misfire weak valve spring ))

good luck
