2002 Ford Taurus Hesitates

A couple of days ago I drove through some high water and now the car will not go above 20mph. It happenend previously when I drove through an auto matic car wash. Then went a way after I parked the car for a day. Any ideas what could cause this. Thanks

Disconnect the exhaust pipe temporarily and see what happens and get asap

Water could have make it into the catalytic converter causing blockage-if you disconnect the exhaust pipe this will indicate if it improves in power-lets try this 1st as for the asap-to get back (as soon as possible)
