2002 Ford Taurus Cold engine

I'm disabled and it's hard to explain what's going on but going to give it a try

My wife car when she first cranks engine in the morning mostly the car feels like it's not running on all cylinders usally about 10 minutes it much better but still feel some roughness it the way it's running

It's been a good year and half since last tune-up but even then it was doing same a friend said it more likely a sensor but where do you start

Help please so I can get wife off my back

HAs the check engine light come on? Also, has the fuel pressure been checked?

Yes but the engine light not on all the time

Fuel pressure I'm not sure probably not

WHen the light is on is when it needs scanned. Most parts stores will do it for free. If possible, have that done. As far as the fuel pressure, first have the check engine light checked and let me know what you find. At that point, I will be able to tell you if the pressure needs checked.

I already did said gas cap error so I replace gas cap and nothing changed

Then you must have a leak at a different place. Check the filler tube for rust / holes.
