my power steering stopped working today,12/12.i cannot get this fixed for a few days,is it ok to drive a car in this condition?thanks.

If the source of the problem is NOT the power steering pump, then you can damage the pump by driving it, costing more to repair the vehicle.

If the engine is running and you remove the lid to the pump you should be able to see fluid circulating and if not the pump is bad. Here is how to change it out to help fix the problem.
