2000 Ford Taurus what do cost for a tune up

In morning when I start the car it idle very high, and it want cut off, this last a 10 15 mins, after that it run very good, this only happen when the car is cold.


I took it for a tune up and they want to chargr me 90.00 to put it on the machine. And then they will let me no if I need a tune up. Tune up is between 180 to 200. I need help can you help me

If you have check engine light on
then it need to be hooked up to a scanner, to check the system and check for codes
check around as different shop charge different rates
some have the service for free
some will waive the fee if they do the job
