2000 Ford Taurus fuel overconsumption

Hello, I just bought a pre owned ford taurus 2000, mileage 40,000.
when I calculated the fuel consumption in the city, I was shocked cause it was 10 mpg.

the car was tested at the dealer's workshop and no abnormal engine codes were scanned.

i tried to see 3 techs and still no explaination

i would be thankful if you can help me findinding the reason why.

First thign to check for that low gasmileage is a fuel leak OR a bad O2 sensor. Bad o2 sensors dont always throw a code, such as with the MAF sensors also.
