Hello, I've taken my Taurus into the shop because I noticed a severe leak in my coolant system. They told me that it's a leak and that they need to replace the head gasket. Total cost of that was quoted at $1900. Now they are replacing the head gasket and tell me that the main problem is the front timing cover gasket and will cost me up to $1100 dollars more for parts and labor which brings my initial 1900 to 3K. Is thing a fair price? Or did I just get ripped off?
