I cant shift my car into gear unless I turn the key to the off position and start it in neutral. Then once I put it in gear and drive off the power steering feels a little funny and when I apply the brakes my clock goes off and my speedometer needle jumps to 0. Once I take my foot off the brake everything comes back on. I also hear what sounds like a relay chattering under the dash. I've had it to 2 repair shops so far, and no one seems to know what it is.I sometimes hear the relay chatter even when the key is turned off. Please Help.

You have brake lights? Any engine codes, light on? Get it scanned, some codes may not turn on the light. Have someone check the multi-lever position sensor, mlps, commonly known as the neutral safety switch, it can cause weird electrical issues if malfunctioning, inexpensive part, may require aligning slots.

It sounds like you have a ground issue with one of the modules. But if you don't have brake lights, the first thing you need to check is the brake position switch. It is located on the brake pedal under the dash. It may have a broken wire that is causing some short. If the wires look of, test for power on one or the wires. Post back what you find with the switch and we'll go from there.
