1997 Ford Taurus Car is difficult to stop.

I have a 1997 Taurus. Today the brakes became very tight and I have to put a lot of pressure on them just to stop the car.I have plenty of brake fluid.I am afraid to move it out of my driveway.
I do not know what the 'Wheel Drive Type' is.

Sounds like your brake booster has failed or you may have a bad vacume line or if you have niether you may look at the ABS pump
