Trying to drain the gas tank on my '95 Ford Taurus with 265,000 miles. First, tried going in thru the fill tube and fill vent but disovered the anti-siphoning screen.

Then located the gas tank drain tube on the right side of the tank. Tried siphoning thru this line without depressurizing the fuel system because I don't have the special tools to relieve pressure at the supply manifold or open the special coupling fittings. Is there another location I can relieve the pressure without special tools? What other methods can I use to drain the tank or relieve the pressure to I can use the drain tube?

Any other description of how the drain tube system works would be great as well. Thanks.

I don't think it is a drain tube but the return fuel line. The only way to effectively drain the tank is to let a pro do it because it will require some specials tools that will only be used once--Good luck
