I have a 93 ford taurus SHO, I am having problems with rough idle and bucking at steady throttle but only at low RPM. Over 3000 seems to run fine.
I replaced the IAC, cleaned the MAF sensor.
I pulled the codes and it said "does not detect EGR valve opening". The EGR valve is pretty new without much carbon build up and I cleaned the EGR passage port in the intake, but symptoms remain. The codes also said weak # three cylinder, the wires have around 40,000 miles on them, Would a bad wire cause these symptoms?

Sounds like you have a cylinder with low compression. I would recommend that you start by doing a compression test. If the compression on the weak cylinder is low, try putting a couple of squirts of motor oil into the cylinder and retesting. This will isolate between a burned valve and piston ring problems.

A bad wire will tend to give a dead cylinder, and will generally affect its companion cylinder on a DIS system.
