My car has overheated twice in the past week, everytime it overheats the powersteering goes out and you have to manhandle the car for it to steer. Once the car cools down it will steer fine. When it does overheat almost all of the anti-freeze has leaked out, but I looked at all of my hoses and they seem to be fine. So now I'm replacing the water pump, the freeze plug and the thermostat, but I heard if you are replacing the water pump that this is the best time to replace the fan clutch9if equipped). So is does this sound like what is wrong with my car and do I need to replace the fan clutch and do I have one equipped?

Your water pump definitely could be the problem, but do not overlook the condition of the belt, and the tensioner pulley. Both can contribute to the symptoms you describe.

In answer to the fan clutch question, your car does not have a fan clutch. Your fan is electric, and as such does not require a clutch. You may also want to make sure that the fan is operating.
