1993 Ford Taurus 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

I HAD TRANSMISSION REBUILT ON THE 1993 FORD TAURUS SHO AND FOR SOME REASON ITS NOT CHANGING OUT. IT STALLS GOING INTO 2ND GEAR. CAN YOU HELP ME OR GIVE ME YOUR OPINION ABOUT WHAT MAY BE HAPPENING. IT WAS ADVISED TO ME THAT IT MAYBE THE COMPUTER.

No we did not run a code check how would we do that? And how do you communicate with the pcm? Would this problem affect the lights or anything else on the car?

Would suspect wiring issue and check for any corroded wires and or connectors

We have cheched the codes there are no codes coming up. It was told to me that sometimes the computer needs to be changed after the transmission has been worked on to reset the computer is this true?
