1987 Ford Taurus

I have an 87 Taurus that was stored for about 6 months. I notice that when I accelerate it sometimes will buck and backfire a few times before speeding up. I replaced the plugs with OEM Motorcraft but that didn't help.
Any ideas?

Check the fuel for water and other contaminates. Check fuel filter and pressure.
