2003 Ford Ranger Engine flood

My ranger runs fine and at regular acceleration works great. But when I accelerate rapidly it acts as if it is flooding out at around 40 to 50. I let off accelerator and it returns to normal.

That's not a symptom of flooding. That's more like fuel starvation. What you need to do is hook up a fuel pressure gauge and rig it so the car can be driven while watching the gauge to see if it's dropping when the problem occurs.
