2001 Ford Ranger Fuel tank

All of a sudden I cannot fill the fuel tank. Pump nozzle constantly clicks off no matter how I position nozzle in filler neck. Cannot see any restriction in fill neck. Filler hose and vent line are not obviously kinked.

could be an internal obstruction of the of the vent line.

or the check valve may be no more good.
