Engine starts fine for a couple of weeks or so then wont start. You leave truck sit for a day then she starts right up. It's done this 2 time in the last month. I've changed the fuel filter & spark plugs. Could fuel pump be going?

Hi:
It could be a fuel pump. You would need to check pressure when it isn't starting. Many parts stores will lend or rent the gauge to do it and here is a video to show how to do it.

Also, the next time this happens, I need you to check for spark too. The vehicle has an EEC relay in the power distribution box under the hood. EEC stands for Electronic Engine Control. If the relay is going bad, the engine will crank but you will not get spark or fuel.

Let me know what you find.
