1999 Ford Ranger Wheels locked up

Its happen couple times and it was also cold at the time after sitting overnight go get in it to leave put in reverse and let out clutch and it was like the rear tires was locked up has I let out the cluth wheels didnt move and it began to stall after giving it more gas and having to just dump clutch it made a loud pop and it was free and then it seemed fined. Its happen only twice a couple months ago didnt think much of it well today taking off in 1st gear it was liked it poped out of gear I had to hit clutch and put back in 1st and it took off fine. I have heard a loud clunck once or twice latley when I was taking off from red light but never has poped out gear. Hope I was clear thanks for all ur feedback

You mentioned that it was cold. Do you use your park brake? If so, it isn't uncommon for them to freeze. Let me know.

Yeah its a manual tranny and I use it everytime I park it I do believe your right now I been researching it. I really thank u for your answer
