Interior problem
1998 Ford Ranger 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic 104K miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
The handle broke at the bullet shaped plastic(?) pin, held in place by a clip. All of the seats at the salvage yard had broken handles. Ford has redesigned the handle, and wants $243 for the whole adjustment assembly. Any other solutions? (The current part no's. are 62633 61970 & 62648.)
Thanks,

That sucks...I have one, but haven't had that pleasure yet. I would keep searching for a used one or attempt to fabricate something.

OR e-bay?

I took a look just now at mine, and it's too dark and concealed to make much out. I think if I had it out I could make something that would work. I think the lever just control a dog that releases the ratchet.
