We own a 97 Ranger, with 15800 miles. We have changed transmission fluids, airintake valve. We are baffled still about why it hesitates a bit after the first gear to get into the next one..like its thinking about what to do next. Please help as we have a buyer in line and we need to get this sold. Thanks.

Chances are the seals / o-rings in the trans have hardened due to time and heat which results in a delayed shift. You can try a transmission conditionier to see if that helps.
