My heat/A/C has been working intermittently lately. Temp gauge also has been dropping on the low side (cool). Is this just a thermostat or something more? Perhaps a coolant charge needed for A/C? Kinda need heat now as it is mid-Nov in northern VA and just had our first snow. Smile! Otherwise, truck runs fine.

I have a similar problem but my thermostat reading is running high and I'm not getting AC. Anyone have an answer to either of our problems?

Hi

I'm not a mechanic but suggest you check the coolant level. Also check your overflow bottle (if empty, fill to the fill line with coolant/water as recommended). Also check under your truck in the morning to see if you are leaking fluid. Also check your oil level. Worst case is you need a charge on your A/C. Your situation sounds easier to solve than mine in my opinion. I wish you luck!
