When I drive, a soft thud comes from the rear of the truck. The thud occurs consistently, but repetitiveness varies with the speed that im driving at; it slows down as I slow down, and speeds up as I speed up. What could be the cause of this, and is it a large issue? My tires are brand new, my brakes seem good (they squeak a little), and I havent noticed any leaking from the rear.

Check the tires to make sure there are no shifted belts or flat spots on them. Even though they are new, you could have a bad one. If they are good, check to make sure the u-joints are in good condition.

Let me know what you find.
