Transmission problem
1996 Ford Ranger 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

Could someone tell me where the shift cylinoid is located (or is there a diagram) on a 96 Ford Ranger? Is it directly under the oil pan?

Thank you in advance for any help you can give.

Thank you for the diagram. If a error code of "Shift Sylinoid B" is being detected, could it be a variety of things located in different areas? Or am I somewhat safe by getting a new "shift Sylinoid" and putting that in? I ask because I noticed there are 3 different shift cylinoids located in the diagram..

If anyone has any info, Could you please advise me.. Im 19 years old, somewhat mechanically inclined and have to drive this truck 1700 miles for work in the midwest.

Thank you.
