The temp gauge bounces and pegs out, yet truck is not running hot. I have replaced sender unit, ohmed out connection to instrument panel and removed instrument pane and have continuity on circuit. What I would like to know is now I can check out the dioded/resistors/etc. Thanks

I have ohmed out JUMPER, ZENER and TEMP connections and I think it is a 100 ohm resistor, but I do not know what the ZENNER is.

I fixed problem by repacling the 100ohm resistor.

Honestly I have never done any testing an the printed circuit board other than continuity check. If the gauge pegs out, it is usually a sign of grounding out,try checking the wiring from gauge to sender
