1994 Ford Ranger 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual 200k miles

The timing belt on my 2.3 fout let go. The manual I have only has the timing set with the old belt intact. There are timing marks for the cam and oil pump gears but the marks for the crank gear are on the belt cover I had to take off to get to the belt. It has th distributerless ignition with the unit mounted to the crank shaft. The crank gear has a dot stamped into it but I cant see where to align it. I just need to know where to align the crank gear, please!

Set everything top-dead-center (TDC) align all the dots to that. There are two cycles when they are on top and vertical, but only one where it is TDC. Take out the plug for cylinder 1, insert a rag, and rotate the engine. When the rag blows out, you are at the TDC cycle.
