My ford truck has been missing or hesitating on the road. Sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't? We have allready replaced the air filter and gas filter and it seems to be missing more(It kind of jerks like it's running out of gas). We though it might need new spark plugs but weren't really sure where to go from here? I drive 23 miles daily to work. Thanks. This is my first time using your service

Well here is a test, if your going down the road and it starts missin right out of the blue while your just cruzing and you give it more gas and it gets worse or doesnt help thats a fuel problem could be fuel pump or injectors the best thing to do is get some fuel injector cleaner and pour in your gas tank if it continues could be the fuel pump you cant do any thing about it untill it completly quits

now if your starting it up or sitting at a stop light and it is running really rough missing alot and about to die and you give it more gas and it clears up thats the ignitiions system could be spark plugs or wires check the coil packs (a good coil pack will have bright shiney clean connection areas) hope this helps

I have the same problem with my 99 ranger
Have had ( 2 ) fuel pumps, fuel injectors cleaned, fuel filters replaced, use premium gas, gas additive - no luck - mine seems to spit and sputter more after I drive it awhile. I'm thinking catalytic converter?

Well cat convertor is a possiblity

it sounds like you have been through the fuel system check out the ignition system
then do emissions like egr valves and MAF sensor

cat are easy crank it up run it for a couple of seconds then shut it off and see if the cat is hot if so its stopped up

i really think you got some ignition problem check them out first
