The truck idles high & low on a cold engine. When it warms up it idles fine. What could be the problem?
Thank You!

One, make sure your oil is at a proper level, and two, test your iac idle air control valve to make sure it is working properly. And then check for cracks or disconnects in you vacuum hoses.
Let me know what happens

Thanks for your reply. The vacuum hoses appear to be fine. This weekend we will be changing the oil and the idle air control valve is on order. We had already changed the throttle position sensor as someone said that could be the problem but it wasn't. The truck runs great for as many miles as it has, other than this idle problem.

My son's truck seems to be running just fine at idle now, after changing the idle air control valve! I thank you very much for your input and so does he! Have a great day! :D
