Hi I just took my truck to get smoged and it failed because it failed the Fuel EVAP test.

The tech said I need a new fillerneck tube?

Where do I get something like that, I have been looking on the internet but I think I must be looking for something I dont know the right turm for.

The tech said a ford part would cost about $700 but there are less expencive ones around, he also said they would have to take off the bed to replace the tube.

Hope you can shed some light on my problem

Thanks

If is just the hose that needs replaced you can get one at any auto store. Just get the same size and cut it to lengh. You will have to take the bed off, but thats only four bolts and unhooking the tail lights.

I don't know how long your bed is, mine is the 6 footer.I had to replace my tube on my 94 ranger and I didn't remove the bed at all. It wasn't easy, but it can be done. You cannot get any hose. It has to be gasoline resistant and built to hold some pressure.I got my tube from Rock Auto. Paid like 75.00 for it.
