So I bought this 1993 ford ranger about a year ago, and it was always a pain to steer. Like no power steering at all. Lets just say that its a workout everytime you drive this beast. It has been this way since I bought it. I just got an oil change and the mechanic said that I need to replace my power steering fluid. I didnt even know I had power steering. Is it possible to have a 1993 ranger built without power steering? Because I have been looking in my 2.3L engine and cannot find the reservoir to save my life. Can someone please tell me where to find it and if its possible that it doesnt have power steering at all? Thanks SO much!

Yes it is possible not to have power steering I have a 1991 ranger that doesnt have power steering but if it does have power steering the power steering pump is run off the belt on the front off the engine and it should be on the drivers side of the truck the top of the pump should say power steering fluid only

if the mechanic drove your truck he might have mistaked no power steering as bad power steering fliud
