I have an annoying noise coming from the rear of my Probe.
It sounds like a creaking noise and happens when I slow down and break, or when I reverse. It sounds like it is coming from the back wheel arch, and I was wondering if it might be the shocks, or suspention? I am worried it might be serious. It sounds like an old boat creaking! Any ideas? Thanks.

Check them out. They could be dry and cracked. You could try spraying them with a penetrating oil.

Also, does it make the sound when it rains?

The problem was the anti roll bar. New anti roll link installed. Problem solved.
