How do you fix a squeaky belt?
It squeaks when I turn on the A/C or heat.
Can the belt be tightened?

Hi there,

Individual belt systems, will have adjusters for each belt, single belt systems (serpentine belts) have an automatic pretensioner, First inspect the belt for damage before adjusting. Most a/c systems use a adjustable idler pulley. Back off the pulley centre bolt, tighten with adjuster bolt, this will move the pulley, and tighten the centre bolt again.
