Windshield wipers

I have a 1995 Lincoln T.C. Signature. It has 228 000 miles on it. My problem with the wipers is that the drivers side wiper swings too far to the outside, it goes past the edge of windshield about 3 inches at the top edge of blade. Is there a way to adjust this.

Most wiper arms attach by bolt to a knurled shaft. Unbolt the offending wiper arm, remove it, and then reattach it in a position that is 3 inches lower. Tighten the bolt and test.
