1998 Other Ford Models When I crank it it doesn't start.

I just bought a 1998 Mercury Sable. Had it out last night and it ran just fine. I went to go shopping this afternoon and when I turned the key in the ignition it did absolutely nothing. The dash lights are on but it doesn't crank. I've read the manual and done everything it says but today it won't start. HELP!

Load test the alternator and battery make sure its good and also connections-if all okay here could be coming from the starter, starter relay, transmission range switch and ignition switch
