12 or 24 valve?

1999 Ford Tatus, 3.0, SE, 4-door, auto, fwd. How do I determine whether I have a 12 or 24 valve engine? Thanks, John

Single over head cam is 12 valve double over head cam 24 valves this means that you would have two cams under each valvecover they would be wied covers if you have narrow valve cover chances are you only have single.(NOS) does the mortor say duratech on top of it. If so it is the 24 valve
