RATTLING NOISE

MY 97 MUSTANG GT CONVERTABLE MAKES A RATTLING NOISE WHEN I PRESS DOWN ON THE GAS PEDAL. IT'S COMING FROM UNDERNEATH THE VEHICLE.

MY MUSTANG HAS 10600 MILES AND I RECENTLY REPLACED THE DRIVE BELT.

If your rattle started after you replaced the drive belt then it is probably either too loose or too tight and the noise is coming from the tensioner pulley bouncing back and fourth. If it started before you replaced the belt, perhaps you need a new tensioner? I had that problem with my 94 gt when my air pump was removed they put the wrong size belt on. Just double check and have someone make sure its the right belt. I hope this solves your problem.
